If you cancel your reservation, a deposit refund is determined by the captain’s cancellation policy. Captains can set their cancellation policy from anywhere between 1–60 days before the trip date. Cancellations before the set period will result in a full refund. If you cancel within the captain’s selected timeframe, you’ll forfeit your deposit. You can see the captain’s cancellation policy on the listing page or on your booking confirmation.
Refunds Overview
In the event that you need to cancel due to an emergency, your captain may allow a refund even if the cancellation violates their policy. If you need to cancel due to extenuating circumstances, you’ll be eligible for a full refund if you can provide proof that supports your claim. Depending on the reason you provide, it may take up to 72 hours for us to process the cancellation. You’ll receive an email confirming the cancellation when this is completed. If you are eligible for a refund, it may take up to a further 7 days for the funds to appear on your account.
There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Cancelling your trip after the cancellation window has passed.
- Needing to cancel a trip after shipping out.
- Less people attending your booking than you expected.
Cancellations
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
