Days Are Getting Hotter and the Bite Is Keeping Up

Summer is in full swing here in Fort Morgan, and the red snapper bite hasn’t missed a beat. Even with a week full of unpredictable weather, we've made the most of every break Mother Nature gave us—and the payoff has been worth it. The bite stayed steady, and the cooler is proof.

Offshore is getting it done too. From Grouper fishing to fun half days of trigger and beeliners, we've been having a blast. Even picking up some Grouper on half day trips lately. Some have had to fight the seas a little and others have had chamber of commerce days, but all have walked away with smiles and a mess of fish for dinner and a few dinners to come.

Reeling in Good Times and Great Company on the Gulf!

Sea Trout

Sheepshead

It was a beautiful, partly cloudy day when we set out from the Fort Morgan Marina for our trolling fishing adventure with the Black Flag Company. March is a great time for nearshore fishing around here, with the warming waters bringing the fish closer to the surface. Our group of six was excited to get out on the water and see what we could catch. As we got set up and started fishing, the bite was a little slow at first. But it wasn't long before the fish started firing up. We started pulling in Sheepshead and White Trout, using mostly light tackle techniques. Everyone was having a blast, reeling in fish left and right. Even when the bite slowed down a bit, we switched up our tactics, moved a little, and the fish started hitting again. The great thing about these nearshore trips is you never know quite what you're going to get. One minute, we'd be hooked up with a big Sheepshead, and the next, a lively White Trout would smash the bait. It kept us on our toes, and everyone was engaged and having a fantastic time. Between the steady action and the beautiful Fort Morgan scenery, it was the perfect day on the water. If you're looking to experience some of the best inshore fishing the Gulf Coast has to offer, I can't recommend the Black Flag Company's Fort Morgan Fishing Charters enough. Whether you're an experienced angler or just getting into fishing, our knowledgeable crew will make sure you have an unforgettable time out on the water. From chasing after hard-fighting Sheepshead and White Trout to reeling in whatever else happens to be biting, we'll put you on the fish and make sure you create memories that will last a lifetime. So what are you waiting for? Book your Fort Morgan fishing adventure today and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!
